Grief and Loss
If you’re experiencing thoughts of self harm or suicide, call 800-273-8255.
Grief and loss will always be a universal part of the human experience, but when you yourself are experiencing loss, whether it be of a pregnancy, a newborn, or the life you once had, it can often feel lonely and isolating. Remember, there is no wrong way to grieve your loss, and when you are ready there are resources available to help you heal.
While grief in itself can be painful and disorienting, it doesn’t always constitute a mental health crisis. Our postpartum doulas are equipped to notice when you may be developing a postpartum mood disorder and will know when to refer you to a specialist should you need it. Always reach out to someone you trust or call a helpline if you’re experiencing thoughts of harming yourself or others.
