Kim Young | Postpartum Doula
Meet Kim Young!
Kim is a professionally trained Postpartum & Infant Care Doula.
Kim has been owner Sheryl Cooksley’s trusted “person” for over 25 years and brings her caring, “go-get-’em” nature to Family Tree Doula Services.
Kim has an extensive history as a loving caregiver. She has provided support for her disabled sister since she was 19 years old and been the trusted caregiver to others experiencing disabilities as well. She was a trained and approved respite provider through DHS for Clackamas County foster children. Kim spent several years as a volunteer at a local grade school, even earning the award of Volunteer of the Year. She served as an Officer on the school’s PTO and was the local Girl Scout Troop leader.
Kim is passionate about providing unconditional support to women and guiding them as they develop their confidence. She is compassionate to the core and won’t hesitate to sit with you while you cry on her shoulder. She may be small, but she is mighty! Kim loves babies and enjoys providing information that allows new families to develop a strong foundational support in their home. She admits that she is not the go-to cook on our team, but she is not short on ideas to help a family stay fed.
Kim is the mother of 3 and grandmother of 2. She loves living in rural Clackamas County with her family and dog, Ranger.
Kim believes it’s an honor to be welcomed into your family home during this vulnerable time and is excited to support new families in whatever way makes the most sense.

Ali Hart | Postpartum Doula
Meet Ali Hart!
Ali is a professionally trained Postpartum and Infant Care Doula, and we think she’s kind of fantastic!
Ali decided to become a postpartum doula in order to better serve the needs of new parents and babies while she continues her studies to become a nurse.
Ali comes from a family of caregivers where both parents are nurses. Although she’s surrounded by caregivers at home, Ali wanted to spend time with new parents and babies to gain some guidance regarding what area of nursing she wants to focus on. Ali LOVES babies and has always had a passion for taking care of others and making sure everyone is taken care of.
Ali has an infectious smile and personality, is wise beyond her years, and brings positivity to any situation. Her heart is big and ears are open, providing her clients with a great place to voice concerns or just chat. She especially cares about the issues surrounding perinatal mood disorders. She is an advocate for new parents as she works to shed light on these issues.
Ali comes from a family of 7 and family means a lot to her and she feels honored and privileged to be invited into yours.
When Ali is not making sure all of your needs are met, you may find her spending time with her cat, Winifred, or longtime boyfriend, Lane. She also loves to paint or read when she has time.
Why do we love Ali so much? Ali has a youthful energy yet is an old soul who can connect to anyone of any age. We’re sure you’ll love her as much as we do.
